June 2020 David and Ashley welcomed baby girl Genesis. She symbolically was the start to new beginnings. After 24 years of service, in the United States Army, David was due to retire. They knew the transitioning challenges since they both served. Furthermore, being a young family later in their career gave new insight.
Offering others support through every possible process is what they aimed to do. As a black mental health counselor, Ashley believed inclusion and mental health impacts all that one does. Evolution Career Center offers unique transitional services. Ashley has an entrepreneurial and social services background. David enjoys community relations and corporate enrichment.
Together they had a vision to make the process for those transitioning easier. A desire to pursue their hopes and dreams started. Asking themselves what it was like as a young military family on the brink of retirement, seeking VA claims and looking for postpartum support. With their formal education and professional experiences, they devised unique services for that person in mind. "your LIFE is your career"

David Mendoza
A retired US Army veteran with 24 years of service. Born and raised in San Benito, TX, David joined the Army at the age of 18 as a Petroleum Supply Specialist. He volunteered for numerous overseas assignments, including Korea, Bonisa, and Iraq. After retiring from the military, David did extensive research on job opportunities and job market analysis, using his military experience to his advantage. With a Bachelors in Emergency Management and a Masters in Public Administration, David realized that having degrees alone did not guarantee a job. He learned firsthand the challenges of transitioning to civilian life and decided to open Evolution Career Center to help others navigate the process. His goal is to provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching services to support those undergoing life-changing events.
Ashley Mendoza
A dedicated counselor and veteran with over 18 years of service in the United States Army. After recognizing the need for more support for new parents, Ashley has focused her counseling services on helping families through difficult transitions and supporting their mental health. She offers confidential and non-judgmental counseling to diverse groups and is passionate about helping her clients achieve their personal and professional goals. With her extensive experience and certification, Ashley specializes in creating personalized plans and providing tools to guide her clients towards achieving their desired goals. Whether it's adjusting to a new phase of life or overcoming challenges, Ashley is committed to helping her clients find their way and feel better.
